| professional drivers; I may have the possibility of going to work for USA Truck. Their talk is what it is as with all companies. Their product is the best as all recruiters say. I would like to know from drivers that either work or worked for USA Truck and those that mey have had some dealings with this company, what your thoughts are? I don;t want to get on the greydog and go to orientation only to be disappointed and take the ride of shame home. As far as trainers, especially bad ones there is a simple solution. It is called a telephone. I think I can deal with alomost anything a company can put there. I don't expect a new or nearly new truck, just one that is decent. I don't expect the best runs, but enough miles to make a living the first year. Any info drivers can give me would be appreciated. Thanks in advance. Go safely; see you on the big road! :rock: |

| Dtrain;There as good as any. Mostly avg 900 miles per trip.Avg 2700 miles a week.Good home time. |

Skullitor; I kind of figured they were about as good as any other company out there. :? The poll I'm conducting does not reflect that but one driver's opinion of a company will always differ from another driver. :shock: There are those that criticize Swift and others who are happy there. :) There are probably those that criticize USA Truck as well and others who are happy there. 900 miles a trip avg 2700 miles a week is pretty decent. More realistically I look at 2000-2500 miles a week. Appreciate the information. Go safely; see you on the big road! :rock: |

| I dont know anything 'bout them, but I do see them comin' down I20 through my city everyday, and it aint jest once or twice....it is all day! Now, the road aint covered with their trucks, but I see quite a few of them. |

I've never driven for them; had an offer from them when I started out, but found a better company to drive for.
I have worked with a number of their former drivers, and a number of them said that their trainers used them for padding their log books with extra miles, but did not seem very willing to teach them anything.
Again, this is not an uncommon problem for many of companies. Finding a good trainer seems to be all to much the luck of the draw. I don't know why companies allow this to happen, as it serves to their detriment in the long run, but all to many of them do.
