I never was a "trucker".

I was always a truck driver.

Started in 1978, did it off and on until 1994, quite.

Started teaching "truck drivers" in 2001. (although, I am sure a few "truckers" have snuck in the back door when I wasn't looking)

Still doing that.

Since the early 70's. I think it was 70 or 71. Anyway, it has been more than 30 years. Lets change the subject. I am not supposed to be old enough to have been doing anything that long.

Started 1978 till 1984, got off the road to watch my kids grow up, went into the professional sports industry, got paid quite well to attend NASCAR races, NFL and MLB events and was NEVER at home.......sold my company to IMG and retired in late 2003, here I am again driving OTR and loving every minute of it.........I use to pay more in taxes and tips than I'm making now, but $$$'s isn't everything, I'm happier now than I've been in 20-years of wearing a coat-n-tie and shinny shoes........I know people who make over $250.000 annually and are miserable and spiritually bankrupt.......it AIN'T how much $$$'s you make, it's what you do with what you do make, thats a FACT.

Mattc............I know many people who are many years chronologically younger than me...........but mentally much older......age is all in the head, in my opinion.....I'm 56 and when people start talking that getting old crap about themselves, I get the hell away from that negative gibberish. I cannot and will not be around negative people or people who have no sense of humor, that take life WAY too serious.
