The forum has certain guidelines or rules. When the rules are violated, then we need to bring that to the attention of the poster. If something is considered offensive to other posters or in violation of the rules, then it up to the administrators or moderators to correct those violations. In this case, the rules were not followed and it was offensive to other posters. There have been times when things have slipped through the cracks, but we do try to keep an even hand when it comes to all posters. We also try to correct things when they happen. No one should feel unwelcome or uncomfortable on this forum.

I think he just wants to brag about his bike and himself, he must think he is a big bad biker. Nothing worse than a bragger.

Big deal Insigator, so you ride a Harley, one that looks just like every other Harley Davidson I see, nothing to brag about there. Harley Davidsons are a dime a dozen, it doesn`t impress me when someone says they own a Harley. And big deal so you have tattoos, just like almost every other person you see nodays, that hardley makes you unique. It sure doesn`t make you a biker, you are probably one of those RUBS (Rich Urban Bikers)

Nodays I think it is "unique" to not have tattoos, I think people get them to be different or something, but how can they be different when everyone else is doing the same thing. I would say that your scar does make you unique, because you have a story behind it.

Shawnee, No I wasnt trying to brag about riding a Harley or having tattoo's, I was simply making a statement towards Roses comment. And to call me a RUB is even funnier! What makes you an official on bikers? Have you ever belonged to a club? Worn colors representing a club? Flew a patch? Do you even know what an outlaw or one per center is? I do, and I will leave it at that. So please dont call me a rub, I cant stand them either.

And I never said I was unique because I have tattoo's, you said that. BTW, that bike was a 100th anniversary 2003 Fat Boy with custom Harley Paint job that I sold last year.

Rosie, now you know full well why they call me "Instigator" and I love it! Drive safe sister.
Just an old school trucker, these kids today don't know how good they have it! Power steering, a/c, air ride cabs and trailers, air ride seats! I did not have any of these things when I started driving.
Drive an old Mack, White or GMC then tell me how good a driver you are! Don't even get me started on backing in to a dock!

I am not an official on bikers but I grew up around bikes, my uncle was a biker and hung around with real bikers, I know very well what a 1%er is. All I remember was a lot of drugs around and a lot of people who were my uncles friends going to jail over drugs so the biker lifestyle didn't appeal much too me.

As far as clubs, the only "bikers" I hang around with now are others who are into vintage bikes like I am. The RUBS are the ones who always turn their noses up at our old bikes, while they hang around the coffee shop posing beside their cookie cutter Harleys dressed up in their official Harley Davidson, made in China, leathers and their official Harley Davidson clothes, looking like walking advertisments for Harley Davidson.

I have the bike my father rode as a teenager, 1946 Indian Chief, that I restored, so I know quite a bit about bikes, at least I could fix my own bike, more than I can say for the RUBS.

it is my profile picture, you can see it there, I don't want to turn this thread about whining female drivers into a thread about motorcycles.

Drugs and bikers? Say it isnt so! I too grew up around motorcycles and club members, not all druggies like you experienced. yes, many "club" members that I knew are in jail, most not for drugs but other bad things they got involved with, this is why I no longer fly any colors or belong to any group, to me its not worth it anymore. As I am getting older I no longer want to fight like a moron every time someone gets insulted or disrespected as the term goes, that sh*t gets old after a while. Im happy that you ride an old knuck, they are rare to see these days, for me, I would prefur a late model bike that I dont have to blow my knee out trying to start and I can do without all the vibrations that the older bikes had.

I was never one to wear the "Harley Gear" like most rubs do, I wear what I want, shorts, jeans, sneakers, boots what ever I feel like because like most real people I dont give a crap what others think of what I look like while i am enjoying a ride. I dont do poker runs, Daytona (Too many rubs) or any other wannabee biker events. Most people fear me when I am riding and thats just the way I like it, screw with me and you will know it in a heart beat because I aint no rub, I am a n old school biker with an attitude for a holes that mess with bikers. Enough said.

Now, back to the forum, why are the women in trucking whinning so much? I meat many of them in truck stops and most are just fine and love talking to us men.

True. Most of the "bikers" I see down here are on something. I lost count how many times I've been offered a "hit" from a pipe or something.

I've found that Harley Davidson is currently in a "partnership" with ZONGSHEN ENGINES in China. Makes me wonder just where the Harley engines are made now.

For that matter, there are a lot of bikes that are being imported from China. They sell cheap. But try to find someone to work on them. Technical manuals are available for them, but they have not been translated to English yet. So, if anyone knows what to do about the foreign technology, they could make some pretty good change working on them. A thousand dollars to change the head gasket? And, the gasket only costs $20. Then, you find out that the "casting surface" has not been completely cleaned up when the cylinder body was machined to meet the head. Water in the crankcase, combustion gasses leaking into the crankcase, and the engine has less than 200 miles on it... I see a lot of money for someone that knows what they are doing with the Chinese bikes. And, not a lot of competition.

Vento claims to be an "American Company", and looks like a Harley from a distance. But, every part they assemble in Laredo, TX is imported from Japan, China, Taiwan, and Italy. Others don't even try to hide the fact that the bikes are imported from China.

A '46 Indian has the suicide shift. Unless you put in a modification for the foot... Which I doubt. They maintained that shifting until 1954. A bike to be very proud of. Not that hard to work on either.

Windy, (my last job before medical leave)
I helped make the "patented" engine assembly frame.
This company also has a contract for Ford motors as well, making engine assembly frames.
The frames serve as a shipping frame, once the assembly and testing is done.

You can see the black powder coated assembly frame in the video.
@ 20 seconds you see the assembled engines, with the racks.
allot of engineering went into those racks.

....back to the whining and cheese.

Roadhog, great video, thanks for sharing, I never saw anyone build an engine so fast. I cant believe how much the evo engine has changed over the years. They used to be easy to work on, not sure if I would mess with the new ones.

Would you like the email address then Roadie? It's definitely not a legit one, ain't ever seen one that was about 100 characters long and had dots every 3-4 letters.

You won't get any disrespect from me. I've seen women maneuver a truck like I wish I could. And, the women I've trained to drive (Never trained a man to drive), none has had an accident as of 3 years ago. Sort of lost contact with a couple of them after I retired.

When one guy on the CB suggested he had "something" for one of my trainees, she told him to bring it right over and she'd show him something he'd never seen before.... She had a sharp knife, and would show him the other end of it.... He didn't say another word.

My wife had over 700,000 miles behind her before cancer took her off the road.
