One question I have...
What did the damage to the truck come to.... In dollars and cents?
Yes, I am aware it could have been a total loss, and very glad it wasn't.

Destroy the cities...and they will rebuild them.Destroy the farms...and grass will grow in the streets of the cities.
Destroy the economy of the blue-collar worker...and grass will grow in the executive offices.
The bill has come due.

LNS last time I heard language like that it was when my Brother a Master Sargent in the USAF was ripping a newly minted airman a NEW AHOLE for installing the rocket motor UPSIDE down in the ejection seat of a F-16 last fall in SC at his new base. No wonder the Base Commander pulled a few strings to get him back there to fix the issues he had with the maintance squadrons such as work not getting done and the afore mentioned seat issues. You would have made my Grandfather proud he was a Master Cheif in the US Navy OLD school style.
The orignal Ironeagle2006 Yes I am BACK.
No actual damage to the truck itself. As for cost.. whatever a couple of wiring connectors cost and the time our mechanic took to bolt the lights back on with a new plastic bracket. (Which probably came off an old light.)
I also had the steer replaced that had gone flat. I aired it up out there and it held, but the general consensus was that it shouldn't be trusted.
The Alaska Highway is my playground!
10-4 on the steers... I just blew out a brand new steer myself, the other week. 1302 miles on it. And, I went back to look for it to see what blew out on it, and never found it. (It came off the rim about 2 seconds after it blew) What I never thought about was, that it could have passed my by while I was busy getting the truck off on the shoulder of the road. I can't say I was paying a lot of attention to what was passing me right then. So, when I went back to where it blew, I may have been looking in the wrong direction.
I've had 3 steers blow out on me during my career, but none was on snow or ice. That's something I'm not really anxious to learn first hand. Glad to hear that was all that happened.
