    Default Travels with Mandy

Well here we are...I got my first real road trip...to Whitehorse, YT

There was so much to explore in the truck... I tried all different places...

On the passenger seat...little crowded, but I'm still small...

Then I discovered Mommy's phone...the "box" is the perfect size!

Then I discovered the dash on the passenger side of the truck...WOW...there's SOOOO much to see out the window!

The COLOURS are stunning this time of year...too bad it rained most of the way!

I even got to meet LadyNorthStar! Too bad Mommy forgot to take our picture!

We stopped alonside the Yukon River, by Fireside on the way home...the view was stunning!

Hurry up Mommy...you're getting wet out there!

    Time for bed!

Oh NOOOO... More road construction...BUT I got to charm to flag girl while we waited!

My absolute FAVORITE place of all...draped over Mommy's leg...good thing she was able to hold me...or I would have vibrated onto the floor many times!

And, well I'm just too damned cute for words

For that trip anyway! I'd only had her one day when I got this trip & Maui's nose was still pretty bent, so I figured best to just take her along! Not sure yet if I will take her again, but I sure enjoyed the company!

I remember you used to take one of them with you. Did it taker her long to get used to riding? It doesn't look like it, she seemed to be settled in pretty good.

No it didn't take long at all, by the time I got to our yard 30 minutes from home, she was settled in & looking around the truck. I found if they start young they adjust very quickly.

I used to take my fat old tabby with me all the time, she rode with me for 6 years...but she got to the point where I had to take her literally EVERYWHERE with me...I couldn't even go to the store without her! Even now I still put her in the car occasionally, & she still likes it, but now she doesn't like getting in & out of the truck, so I don't take her along anymore...she getting pretty old for the constant motion (she's 12 now) & is much happier at home.

Must have just been the cat WW, Mandy didn't bother with the wipers at at, except to try to "catch" them. I have "flowers" all over my passenger windshield from her "touching" dead bugs to stone bruises to trying to catch the windshield wipers!

Here we go getting ready for another road trip...

Mommy is trying to get some of her paperwork do whilst she's on the phone with dispatch.... I'm helping!

YELLOWKNIFE???? I've never been to Yellowknife!

Beautiful fall colours again...but more RAIN!

So I'm back in my spot again

Now we are waiting to get on the ferry at Fort Provedence...they have such a cluster going on as they are trying to build across the river too...

On the ferry...OMG so squished on there...there's barely enough room for 2 trucks & 2 four wheelers!

    Hurry up Mommy....

Crossing the river...it's sooo windy the ferry is really having a tough time

The road is so rough I had to find a bigger place, cause I almost fell on the floor a couple of times

    FINALLY! We lost the rain....

I just love these pictures. I love cats and I've only had one that loved to travel. His name was Fid. He was constantly messing with everything and everyone in the vehicle. He was right at home. He was a humongus Maine Coon. I had a Blue Heeler named Cash (after THE Legend) and they were buds.

Very cute looking, she doesnt appear to be too old either, great age to introduce to the road. Have fun with her.

Seeing her on the dash reminds me of an incident with our last pug puppy, Dixie. Hubby was crossing the US/Canada border....brought his paperwork into the office & Dixie walked across the arm rest to the dash locking the doors....of course hubby had left his only key in the ignition!

    Ya think he learned anything?

She's around 4 months or so I think. She locks the doors all the time...keyless entry is a wonderful thing!

My old cat scared the crap out of a customs guy one time...just as I opened the door he walked up to ask if I had anyone in the truck with me she hopped into my lap & "meowed" in his face...he nearly fell off the step! Luckily for me he had a sense of humour!

I should have just called this thread Mandy's Travels!

Here we are heading back to Yellowknife again... I just wish the road wasn't so rough!

But then I'd eventually get all comfy again....

Here we are back on the ferry again...at least the sun is shining!

And I just keep making "cutesy" faces at Mommy until she just can't help picking up her camera!

Oh for God sake ENOUGH with the camera already!!!!

Getting closer to HOME!!! I has a bit of a "hang over"!!!
