Default Intercourse once a day or DIE??????

Any of you ever hear of this before??????

I was in SC last week, and I was approached by a woman that said she MUST HAVE SEXUAL INTERCOURSE ONCE EACH AND EVERY DAY OR SHE WOULD DIE.

I thought about a driver I knew years ago that had a run out to northern California and Oregon every week, and on his way back, one week, he met a girl in a restaurant that made him an offer he could not refuse... He paid for the motel room and got his heart's desire all night long. When he woke up in the morning, she was gone, but as he got ready to leave, he read (written in lipstick on the bathroom mirror) "WELCOME TO AIDS, *****HOLE". He died of AIDs about 14 years ago.

I asked her what she was going to die of, and she told me (I think she said) "ATROPHIC VAGINITIS". I did a search and learned a whole lot of things about a woman that I think all women should be aware of by the age of 30, and in fact, learned that one woman a number of years ago wasn't lying to me about what the doctor told her, but I do not find anywhere that it can be life-threatening.

About 20 years ago, I met, once again, a girl I had dated shortly after high school. We were talking, and suddenly she said that she had gone to the doctor, and was told that the problem she was having would take care of itself if she had a man in her life. I didn't believe her. No doctor prescribes sex for a medical problem. Now, I find out she was not kidding. She had had "ATROPHIC VAGINITIS" surgically removed about a year before she died. I never knew what it was until now.

So, while she had said there would be no money involved, I told her "Thanks, but no thanks" and went back to my truck alone.

Has anyone ever heard of this... That you can die from it without sex?

I thought you were running for President?

Yes it is a real condition. Sex is NOT the only treatment, estrogen usually does the trick.

Diagnosis and Treatment of Atrophic Vaginitis
    GLORIA A. BACHMANN, M.D., and
    NICOLE S. NEVADUNSKY
Robert Wood Johnson Medical School, New Brunswick, New Jersey
Up to 40 percent of postmenopausal women have symptoms of atrophic vaginitis. Because the condition is attributable to estrogen deficiency, it may occur in premenopausal women who take antiestrogenic medications or who have medical or surgical conditions that result in decreased levels of estrogen. The thinned endometrium and increased vaginal pH level induced by estrogen deficiency predispose the vagina and urinary tract to infection and mechanical weakness. The earliest symptoms are decreased vaginal lubrication, followed by other vaginal and urinary symptoms that may be exacerbated by superimposed infection. Once other causes of symptoms have been eliminated, treatment usually depends on estrogen replacement. Estrogen replacement therapy may be provided systemically or locally, but the dosage and delivery method must be individualized. Vaginal moisturizers and lubricants, and participation in coitus may also be beneficial in the treatment of women with atrophic vaginitis.

And, from what I've read, estrogen is also not a viable choice for a cancer survivor. As soon as cancer is mentioned, the estrogen is removed from the course of treatment. Am I right or wrong?

And, it's not something you can die from, like she tried to tell me, is it?

I can't find anything that says anyone has died from this. But it can be painful. There are topical as well as surgical treatments and from what I've read, isn't really considered life threatening.

Same here. I can't find anything that says anyone dies from it. But I keep thinking about the driver that died of AIDS and I really don't think I made a wrong choice. And, if she keeps looking, I have little doubt that she can find someone else to accommodate her. I don't have to get involved. Although I did learn something I did not know before.

Well, from what I've been reading, you're wrong. Atrophic Vaginitis is NOT the woman's version of "blue balls". It's something else entirely.

    vasocongestion.
Women can also experience discomfort due to unrelieved vasocongestion as their pelvic area also become engorged with blood during sexual arousal. They can experience pelvic heaviness and aching if they do not reach orgasm. The general term pelvic congestion refers to such pain as it occurs in either sex.
    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Blue_balls
And, from what I find, there can be a risk of gangrene in both cases. And, in severe cases of atrophic vaginitis as well. That WOULD explain why the woman I used to know had to have hers surgically removed.

Also, from what I've been reading, estrogen is NOT a viable treatment (oral, injection, topical creme, or IUD) for a woman that is at high risk to cancer.
