You betcha, you can get to it from behind the scale or by going past Finning there.

Oh that's the one by the scale there? Not the big one out on the highway right?

Lady... if all goes well I should be heading up to Whitehorse tomorrow night, so maybe get a chance to catch up to you.

Doing my 36 hour reset tonight, good thing too...fighting a migraine today....

So they cleaned up our mudhole and laid down new dirt, (nice) but haven't got the packer in to pack it yet (not nice). So yeah I got stuck, well sunk actually, twice.

Mostly I just try to sleep...bout the only thing I take for my migraines is my kitty's purring, I am allergic to nearly every painkiller under the sun & kitty's purr is proven to have same frequency as healing ultrasound...soooo very relaxing way to get rid of migraine...sometimes. Actually, I think mostly it's just they're comforting presence that makes me feel better!

    YIKES!!

I just got back from Yellowknife....Got stuck on a closed highway by Fort Provedence for 16 hours cause of a forest fire, then at 7 am on Sunday they opened the highway for 6 hours.... run like heck into Yellowknife & get switched out before they closed it again. The SMOKE was incredible, the just as I got back up to where the fire was again I was crossing the Frank Channel & I noticed the smoke was even thicker than before & all of the sudden I hear this huge CRACK & I look over to see this FIREBALL just literally EXPLODE to my right & WOW all I could think was "I'm not gettin' outta here today!" But they let us through...THANKFULLY! Just got home a few minutes ago....nearly 24 hours late, dirty & exhausted, so what else is new??? LOL Am hoping I can stay home tonight, but somehow I just don't see that happening!

    WOW!!!! Wheres the PICTURES!!!!??
I have yet to be caught in a fire but the year before I started it was a mess. My boss and his wife got caught somewhere around Swift River. The tourists were feeding everyone (the lodge would only feed the firefighters!) and when they ran out of food, my boss sat'd Edmonton and got approval to open the trailer doors and let everyone eat!
"Long as you open em before Grocery People opens theirs" they said. lol
