    Default Phewwww! Super B Backing

Well I finally had no choice but to teach myself to back up a Super B Train.
We have to back onto a ramp that has about 3 inches grace on either side.
I didn't want to have to struggle with it during the week while there were other people waiting to use it so I went down today on Sunday while it was quiet.
I was absolutely ecstatic over how fast I caught on. I no longer have to say I can't back those things up, wooooot!!

    That's good L.N.

When I first started pulling trains I hardly ever had to back up, and I was too busy to practice, so I had problems the odd time I had to...

We have sets of trailers with smooth sides and those ones with "ribs" down the sides, I'm so used to the smooth ones, I now have problems with the other ones... :?

This summer we had a driver take a wrong turn up the M.185 road... (no, not me) 8 kms, 5 miles down the road it was dead end...

I take it back about the 3 inches on either side, its about 1 inch, usually rubbing along one side, I just came back frmo doing it a few more times.

Well in all the time I've pulled trains I've never had to back up either, and yep too busy to practice. No choice now.

Felt pretty good, found out a few days ago a Chambers guy went round and round about 10 times, couldn't get it and finally got someone else to do it for him.
I only looped once and that was on my first attempt.

I always have to back up around corners except in the yard from my parking spot, the leases are so small.... Door mounted mirrors are nice as you can open the door to see around the corner, my pass. side mirror is electric, handy.

This guy seems to know what he's doing...
