The way you all talk is that a person might as well not get their class 1 because even if (from what you all say) they pass the course at an acreditted school with honors they won't get hired by anyone because they don't have the applicable OTR of km or years. Thats a load of bull! If that was the case no one - male or female - would be being hired and with all the old timers passing away the industry would be non existent. Get real even trainers would not have jobs because no one would bother trying to get into the industry. After all with out the OTR as you all say no one would be hired and no one can get the OTR you say without being hired by someone. It always amazes me that on this site everyone seems to think they are the be all and end all of gatekeepers for the industry. Too many know it alls hijacking posts as well. The initial post for this site was about an employment opportunity for women there was no need for anyone to disuade anyone for attempting to take advantage of the opportunity or to judge what the job requirements are(seems to me thats the employers job - no one elses).

Uh, maybe you oughta go back and read, and you'll see that there is pretty much only one person giving that impression. Others, including myself, are in defence of that insinuation.
I have mentioned in this thread, and in others, several times. I was hired in Alberta to pull Super B's with ZERO experience. Then went on to haul groceries with only 3 months experience doing the latter. I always mention that it worked out fantastic for me.
