WHAT WOULD BE YOUR DREAM VACATION?

I have a few.

1) To take an RV, and travel the entire United States. Driving the back roads to find unique places, not the usual "tourist" traps.

2) A trip to the islands of Hawaii

3) A trip to England, and the surrounding area, Ireland, Scotland, Wales.

4) Or a permanent vacation to a deserted island.... Ahhhh... Peace at last.... :wink:

Geez Red it's hard to think of just one dream vacation. LOL Like you I have a few.

1.) I'd like my hubby and I to take a cruise up to Alaska and then spend a couple of months travelling all through Alaska, Yukon and Northwest Territories.

2.) We're big history buffs, so I'd like us to take a trip and travel through France, Germany, Belgium, Holland and Austria. Then maybe hop the Channel to Great Britain and see as much of it as we could.

3.) The best vacation though would be to have a nice parcel of land, about 50 acres and build the house we'd love to have, be happy and healthy and raise our purebred Siberian Huskies. To me that would be the ultimate.

I've always said I wanted to do the Travel the 48 states and see all the major attractions and all the tourist traps! I live for that stuff!

But right now I'd settle for hopping in the car and driving to Omaha, Nebraska to go to the Zoo. I miss that place. I lived in Omaha for two years and loved every minute of it!

I know it is very expensive in the UK. I actually have relatives in England, I could stay with, if I wanted too.

I was actually born in England, though I'm a US citizen. I have dual citizenship... Pretty nice to have... :wink: 8)

I thought about wanting to live in the UK, it would probably be a toss up between living in the countryside of Scotland, or some quaint country town in whatever is left of rural England.

Of course the issue would be the cost of housing, and finding a proper career there.

I would like to at the very least visit there before I die... :wink:

I LOVE the zoo in Omaha! I was there in '93. If I remember correctly it was rated in the top 10 in the country. Not in size but QUALITY.

Since you've not been there since'93... if ever given the opportunity you should definitly go back. I can only imagine that it's grown leaps and bounds since then. It's expanded greatly just in the nearly 4 years that I've been gone. I keep tabs on it through friends and eventually I will get back out there to visit it again. Last I heard it was in the top 5 in the world! A+ facility!

Well.... since we ARE "dreaming" and if money is no object.....

A week in Belize (Central America) to work on my tan and take in all the water sports like deep sea fishing and Scuba diving.

Followed by a week along the coast of California, playing golf at Pebble Beach and hangin' out in Monterey, and seeing the giant Redwoods around Eureka again.

Then, up to Alaska for a week of horseback camping in the Denali.

Then, over to Britain, just long enough to play the "Olde Course" at St. Andrews.

Then a week of skiing in the Alps, followed by another week of watching the sunsets from the beachside bars in Greece.

From there, I'd have to fly to Australia for a bit of shrimp on the barbie, and then the customary stop off in Hawaii on the way home!

Yeah.... THAT'LL do it!!

I have been pretty much everywhere in Canada and the lower 48, but I would like to go roughing it up in the Yukon, that's one place that I would like to see more of. That's my kind of vacation, I like to do a lot of back country camping, and fishing in remote places

I would like to one day go to Scotland and see where my ancestors came from.

I would also like to travel to New Zealand.
