Default Southern California (LA area)

I'm 21 years old going on 22 this Nov and I have been really interested into getting driving trucks. I called up AIT (Based out of Fontana,CA) And they seemed really interested in getting me into the program for my CDL. I was wondering what other trucking school BESIDES CENTRAL would be the best to go with. I know every company has it's good and bad but in all honesty I just need work and would like to make a decent amount from miles driven. Thank you so much in advance.

Whatever you do, don't go the C. R. England or Werner. If you like to go home on a regular basis stay away from Stevens Transport, they will keep you out there for months at a time. Basically haven't heard too many bad things about anyone else, best thing to do is ask alot of questions and don't believe everything the Recruiters tell you because they lie like a dog. If you want to be sure about the promises they make you, ask them to see the promise in writing. Good Luck!

Of course AIT is "interested" in you. They want your MONEY. They won't TEACH you HOW to drive, just run you through their CDL mill and then throw you to werner or CRE or any of the other thousands of bottom feeders. If you survive, you'll burn out and quit and be broke in the process. See all the money we just saved you ? (and about a year of your life). There IS NOT (repeat after me class) ANY shortage of good drivers that already exist. There IS a shortage of GOOD JOBS.

A-1 truck driving school...our last recruit went there and gave it a hell of a good review.
