So many people see this business in terms of getting hired by Schneider, Swift, Werner, TooBigToGiveACrap etc. There are thousands of small and medium sized companies to choose from too. If I were a successful guy with a small to medium size fleet I'd probably consider the perfect new hire to have the maturity and wisdom of a 60 year old and the strength, stamina and eagerness of a 25 year old. Welcome to the world of pick one or the other. He's got a lot going for him, it's just a case of finding the right gig.
I think he has a good chance, he just needs to look around for the right type of work. A lot of places need a guy with experience, as long as he is able bodied.
