So new here that I haven't even went for training.

With so many companies out there it's not hard getting together with one that is just out to scam.
I have been reading nearly non-stop and I am almost as confused as
    when I first started.
I applied with Stevens, guess I am wondering if they sincerely help their students out.
If you take the training you gotta stay with them for a year.
I live in Texas and don't know of any other companies that would be good to train with. Also, if they really give jobs to students after training.
Anyone else familiar with Stevens? Did you like what they had to offer?
Are you where you want to be with truck driving?
Any regrets? What would you have done differently?

Stevens has a spotty reputation. Although I hear things are getting a little better. The only negatives I know of is they have an 8 week OTR training. 5 weeks with a trainer and then 3 weeks with another new driver like yourself. They tend to keep you OTR for 4-5 weeks at a time.

Have you tried Schneider? They are a good training company. Schneider is pretty good about home time and miles.

As far as company schools go, as long as you pass school and get your CDL you will get hired by that company.
Check out the new 2008 Microsoft Streets and Trips! Sweet!

    Greg3564, thanks for posting.

I will look into the company that you mentioned.
I visit our local TWC and picked up a WIA packet today
I sincerely hope that this step helps to set me in a path for
    a brighter future.
