    Default XMp3i Radio

Just wondering if anyone on here has (or has had) one of these radios. Looks pretty cool, especially with the scheduled recording and the fact that it can record 5 different channels at the same time. There's some shows that are on that I just don't get to listen to because of my normal schedule, but would love to.

    SiriusXM - Shop - XMp3i

    Live XM

    • Enjoy over 170 channels of commercial-free music, plus sports, exclusive entertainment and talk, news and weather.
    • Pause, rewind and replay up to 30 minutes of live radio.
    • Store your favorite SiriusXM channels as preset for fast access.
    • Set alerts with TuneSelect so that you don't miss your favorite artists or songs when they are playing on live radio.
    • Get alerts when your favorite sports teams are on any SiriusXM channel with GameSelect.
    • Keep track of selected sports scores and stocks with Info Extras.
    • Enjoy superior in-vehicle performance with the revolutionary SiriusXM XMp3i PowerConnect Vehicle Kit that enhances audio quality through your vehicle's radio with easy do-it-yourself installation. (XMp3i™ PowerConnect vehicle kit, sold separately)

    Recorded XM

    • Record up to 5 channels at the same time.
    • One-Touch Recording of up to 10 hours of individual songs.

    • Compatible with standard or high capacity microSD cards, the XMp3i™ radio is microSDHC compliant.

    XM2go® Music Manager

    • Schedule recordings of your favorite XM programs.
    • Organize your recorded XM content and your MP3s.
    • Create and modify playlists of your recorded XM content or your MP3s.

    • Bookmark and purchase songs from compatible online music services including Napster.

    Other Features

    • USB Charging: Recharge your battery whenever your radio is connected to your PC's USB port.

i own one what did you want to know about it? it does everything you said. though i will say the remote is a little touchy. it will also record even when its turned off so it's more like a dvr as well.

Have you had any problems with it? I've read through some reviews that users posted on Amazon about it, and it's about 50/50 on whether it's good or not. I had an Inno, but it screwed up royally just after the warranty expired, so I lost money on that one.

I think it's a total piece of crap! light years behind the stilletto, which they dont make anymore. mine will not record when turned off, the pause function sucks, if it runs out of pause time, instead of starting from where you paused, it erases all of the pause time and starts from now. if it loses the signal during a recording, ( which is very frequent) it cancels the entire recording instead of resuming it, if you are scrolling through the channels to see what else is on, and you stop on one for more than a few seconds, it changes to that channel even though you dont hit enter, all in all, I think it an overpriced piece of crap. get yourself a used stilletto, or I will sell you this wonderful xm unit and get myself a stilletto! I have a stilletto 2 now that I was completely happy with, but it's dead and they say it cant be fixed. I wish I would have just bought a used one instead of this xm piece of crap... Did O mention that xm unit is a piece of crap? just my opinion..
Oh yea, one other thing that annoys me, when you first turn it on, it says powering up for about a minute, then it goes off and you have to hit the power button again to turn it on.

Saw something else that's stopping me from buying one: the software you use to set your recordings, transfer your music and such - it's for 32bit Windows only. My laptop is 64bit - it won't even install on the computer.

my computer is 64 bit and it worked okay, you can just drag and drop music into it, the recordings are set right on the unit, but it's still a piece of crap. maybe worth a hundred, no more, like I said, get a used stilletto2, it's superior in every way

That's a Sirius unit. Most of the shows I listen to are on the XM side and I don't want to pay the 'premium' rate for the XM stuff.

malaki, i used to get the good units... i gave up on them. i have way better luck with the cheapo units. my last one lasted 3 years. i just got Audiovox onyX Receiver & Car Kit (PowerConnect) - Sirius XM Radio Receivers, Home Kits and Car Kits, Speaker Docks, Antennas, and more at MyRadioStore and i love it. BUT i do hate that there is no remote that came with it. i cant record shows but for the money you can not beat it. plug it in to the aux port and just enjoy. i've had it for about 4 months and not one problem ever with it.

I've got the Onyx already. My Roady2 died sometime in the middle of last year. I'd just like to have the recording functions of the mp3i.

I've had 2. I'm like you a lot of the shows I want to listen to are on at the same time. So I record about 10hrs a day and listen when I can later. It's no where near as good as the INNO was but if you want to record it's about the only viable option. If you install an external ant it will eliminate most of the problems with it stopping recording due to signal loss. The one complaint I have is if the wheel quits working which is what happened to my first one you are screwed as this is the only way to change channels and get to your recorded shows. I also wished the pause time was a little longer, on my last Sirius unit it would pause 1hr 45min this thing is about 35min tops, and it is annoying the way it skips to live programming at the end of the pause. Also another thing I hate about it is if you are listening to a recorded show and it's time for a scheduled recording it goes live to the recording and you manually have to go back and find your spot you were listening to on the recorded show, the INNO just went back to the place you left off, very frustrating. But much like everything else at XM since Sirius took over it's been pretty much down hill since. Don't call it a merger either it was a complete and total takeover.

No. I don't think it is suppose to either.
