I got it for 349 at Loves and really not worth it. the 260 does just as well if you use a little common sense, and it's 1/2 the price

I use a reconditioned Garmin 260W also and it does a good job. Only paid $ 88.00 on amazon. POI-Factory has alot of additional points of interest if you care to upload anything to your gps. Just go to garmin and get the free poi loader program. Truckstop 2010 and MS Streets and Trips isn't too bad either.

I got a new HTC EVO phone a couple of weeks ago and have been using google navigation for my gps and with live traffic that has never failed me yet, this thing is great.

I had a Dash unit, but they discontinued service last week so it's pretty much useless now.

The EVO has a 4.3" screen and I all do is put in the customer name in google and it brings up the address and click navigate, pretty sweet.

I'm considering one of those EVO's, but have a couple issues about it, mainly with the plans. Having to pay the extra money for the 4G, when I might actually be in an area with 4G a few hours per month max, plus the $25.99 for the mobile hotspot addon per month.

I wonder if the fact it's a phone and connected to the internet could cause you a problem should some 4 wheeler crash into you while navigating with it. Would that fall under the distracted driver laws that are getting passed everywhere? How would they know you are using Google Maps and not surfing the web?

Hey Mike - how about a review on that phone? I've got about 35 days until my current phone hits the 2 year/$150 mark towards the EVO. Just wondering how it's working out for you.

I use to like my Ms. Garmin, until we had a falling out.
She's always telling me where to turn. .... like I don't know where I'm going.

Then she cops an attitude with some static, and says... r-ee-calculating.

Wifes gps took a dump so i gave her my 265W and bought the 465t with mobile mount on amazon for $310.00. All of these gizmo's have their fault's. I hit the road this wens with the 465 but did try it on I-4 in car mode the other day and like the features. Wife said the hands free bluetooth sounds crappy, but thats the only negative so far.

Eventually interested in a new phone but for now am using a samsung propel with 3G and the screen is too small to see the maps without a bunch of zooming and approving the att nag screen every time you zoom or move around in gmail. So I tethered it to my laptop for surfing and trip planning. It's as fast as my home internet cable modem and saves us the $79/monthly aircard fees.

Google maps are the best as long as there updated, and ms streets and trips/ ts 2010 are quick without getting online but satellite images are a great tool. How does everyone like the actual screen/google map size, speed and performance on an iphone or htc evo for trip planning?
