    Default power inverter

I'm planning on putting a 1500 watt power inverter into my truck. One driver I talked to had a Cobra brand inverter in his truck.

Does anyone recommend any specific brand? Or are these simple enough where any brand would do? Or are there specific brands to avoid?

How about that $120 inverter Pilot and Love's are selling recently?

    TIA

BTW, it's a company truck but I plan on installing myself. The company wants $150 to install but I hate to waste nearly 20 years of pro mechanic experience and all these tools setting here.

I've already identified where I can hang wires underneath, run them into the storage space and into the cab/sleeper area without modifying anything. IE: no drilling/ cutting, etc., etc.

Xantrex is a very good brand of inverter. So is tripplite.

If you are planning to run sensitive electronics off it like a computer then try and find a pure sine wave inverter as it will provide you with the "cleanest" power.
Finding the right trucking company is like finding the right person to marry. I really comes down to finding one whose BS you can put up with and who can put up wih yours.

Also a tip....make sure you shut it off before you start your truck.....be amazed at how many drivers don't do this and fry the inverter
