Default Referral Needed for Repair/Maintenance Dalton, Ga.

Looking to get a few items taken care of. Primarily; overhead/ISX, and some brake work. Any good shops around Dalton?

    Thanks

The Peterbilt in Ringgold, GA http://lookoutmountainpeterbilt.pete...blic/home.aspx did a good job replacing the turbo on my C15 back in 2005. They seemed like pretty knowledgeable guys and the bill was reasonable (for a Peterbilt) if I remember correctly. I haven’t been there since, so things might have changed since then.

Papa Rick got ripped off by them really bad a few years ago. Look for his post.

There are several smaller shops around Dalton. I know a small shop in Tunnel Hill that could do the overhead for you and would not hold you up. The owner's name is Vernon and his number is 706-673-2324. I have used him on a few repairs and so far he has done a fair job.

Too bad. They treated me pretty good, but then I was leased to Kennesaw Trans back then (and THEY screwed me in a big way, I might add), and Kennesaw did a LOT of business with that particular Peterbilt, so I imagine that might have played a part in getting treated fairly.

southeast diesel in Chattanooga is very good, but very busy, you might have to wait a while... Kenworth of Chattanooga sucks.. Ringold Pete is good if you insist on having Steve do the work, he is the best mechanic there by far
