What area of the country do you want to find a mechanic? I have seen rates from about $50-115/hour, lately. I would probably try to find a smaller shop rather than a dealer. I know a guy in Arkansas who is reasonable. I know another in Georgia who is fair and does a good job. There is also a shop in California that I have used who does a good job at a fair rate. If you don't find the response you want you could do a search on NTTS and probably find a garage almost anywhere in the country.

Someone I know of just had one done and it was 4 hours labor plus parts. It came to about $1200.

Intake or exhaust manifold? What makes exhaust manifolds such a PITA is the studs break when you try to remove the bolts. Then you gotta weld them bee-otches out. I had 5 out of 10 break when I had a gasket leak to fix. Those high tensile strength missile rods are amazing!

My local shop is $55 an hour. Why anyone would pay those insane rates is beyond me.

Is that an independent shop or Peterbilt?
