Default what gauge for fenders

Guys I need to get a new set of quarter fenders for my truck. I've seen some 18ga "economy" fenders for $199 but wonder if they'd be too flimsy? Should I pony up the extra $$ for the 16ga?

These are the ones I was looking at. Are they good fenders or is this brand lacking?

Default 1/4 fenders

Hodgebuilt makes some pretty good stuff and that price ain't bad.

I'd be concerned with vibration from that thin of a guage metal. I'd spring for the 16 ga.
