    Default Volvo Clutch Brake

I recently started my new company and i have 2005 Volvo.. not a bad truck it runs with the best of them out on the road but pulls like $%!%.. but i have bigger problem.. when i ever i come to a stop or start and i push the clutch all the way down i have to grind the truck into gear to get it to go in.. Is something wrong with my Clutch Brake or is this normal in a Volvo??

It could be that the clutch brake is out of adjustment or broken.

It also could be that the clutch is not releasing properly.

    .
If you can't shift it smoothly, you shouldn't be driving it.

It's often caused by lack of clutch maintenance; requires a clutch adjustment. If clutch has already been adjusted, then release system must be checked.

I also have a 2005 Volvo. When I first drove it with the salesman I noticed a difference to the clutch right away. It was explained to me that it is a hydralic clutch which acts a bit different. I have had some problems learning to shifting it. I too have to hit the clutch brake at times just to grind it into gear. Check to make sure that you don't have a air leak on the top of the trany. I had a leak there and after getting it fixed shifting did improve.
