    Default amateur mobile

    Disclaimer:

This is not my equipment and I am asking for a fellow driver.......

They had an amateur mobile transceiver installed in their truck (Ranger RCI-63FFC4- 400 watt) and it over heats, significantly.

Any suggestions as to a remedy that I could pass along?

    Thank you,

    ~Kelly

I hear you. I suggested that as well. Not sure why "so much" radio but then, if explained, I still probably wouldn't understand.

Install some cooling fans and put it in a well ventilated area.
