Fuel tank leak ?

I have a very small leak in the bottom of my tank maybe a pint per month but id like to fix it, any quick easy fix ideas ?

Im thinking that 2 part epoxy clay like stuff they have!

Would appreciate any ideas?

The only way that epoxy might have a chance of being effective would be if you empty the tank, then remove the tank, turn it upside down, and thoroughly clean the leak site with something like brake clean spray, sandpaper the area clean, spray with brake clean again, allow to dry, then apply the epoxy.

Trying to get epoxy to stick to the bottom of a tank with an active leak is futile.

The proper (and permanent) way to fix the leak is to take the tank off the truck and weld the crack shut, or if it's a rust or corrosion spot, weld a patch over the area.

If you are not familiar with the proper methods of safely welding on a fuel tank then have a professional do it.

After the tank is welded it should be pressure tested to avoid any "surprises" when it is reinstalled and filled with fuel.

DITTO, what Splitshifter said! I've never seen a leak quit by ignoring it.

Drain the tank to a level that you can spin it after loosening the straps. Clean the crack thoroughly, scuff the area then clean it a gain. Apply JB Weld and let it dry. You can sand the compund afterwards if you choose.

Most likely it's leaking under a fuel tank strap. They always corrode underneath there.
