your right you will need to take apart almost everything to get them out that is why they want so much. part of when you are paying for is they wil run the overhead when they change them.

you need to make sure who ever does the work KNOWS what they are doing hears why.

we had a bad injector cup, had it fixed at tyler, tx. volvo well it took them 2 weeks...!
3 days later we are at wilsonville, or. volvo and need to have the overhead run AGAIN (tyler, tx. didn't adjust valves right) took 4 days to fix.
6 days later we are at chattanooga, tn. volvo and need to have the head replace....! (tyler, tx. volvo had messed up the head so bad nothing will stay adjusted) took 2 weeks to fix.
5 days later we are at el paso, tx. volvo with 1 bad injector and 2 bad injector cups.(just installed in new head) they changed all 6 cups, 1 injector and ran the overhead in 7hr.

yes it was all under warranty BUT if the fist shop had done it right we would have been running and making money not sitting in motels.

IMHO if you are OTR take it to volvo and have it fixed that way if they f**up anything you can take it to any volvo to have it fixed under the workmanship warranty. if not and a local shop does it and you breakdown in denver you will have to pay YOURSELF to have it fixed again.

thanks,i think i will do that, truck running good but the diagnostic on the dash cluster show me that those two injectors has an inactive code beside the two pre-heater element relay, each relay cost 218.00.i love my truck, it is pretty confortable but man parts are pretty expensive, last week i just bought the oil sender unit because it was reading all the way 100 psi even at idle,it cost me 230.00
