    Default 13" Donaldson Air Cleaner

Long story short, I need a 13" stainless Steel Donaldson air cleaner and the straps to mount it to the truck(07 KW W900B). I have tried the usual suspects (ebay, local junk yards etc) and have encountered these problems...

    1. Ebay Guy has several for sale with a good price but not 100% sure it will fit and he has NO return policy. I don't want to get stuck with a $800 paper weight. Or possibly have it arrive and fit but look like poo

    2. Local junk yards are either unwilling or unable to supply one.

    3. Dealer....$2400, need I say more?

So does anyone know of a cheap place to pick one up online?

Sounds like kind of a rare animal.

In all the years I've been around this sh*t, all the Donaldsons that I've seen have been painted steel ones.
If you can't shift it smoothly, you shouldn't be driving it.

And if we could drag you out of a Mack ....

This is turning into a real pain in the rear, and expensive pain at that

Check out: http://www.richardkernstruckparts.com/ They may not have it, but worth checking into. I have called them on parts and emailed them telling them what I needed and requested price. Email took 2 to 3 days for a reply.

I couldn't get a direct link to the page to work so you'll have to navigate the site a little. I think it was under "Universal parts/air cleaners." I don't see a price either.

Also you could try 4 state trucks.

I didn't see yours but if you call they might be able to help.

    Done and done.

I found a pair of cleaners off a 89 w900 and they might be a perfect fit and old school cool. Any body know if this is a bad idea or not? They use the same filter but have a different looking top on them

I'd check to see if they service from the bottom or top and if yours are the same. They may be easier to service one way or the other, i.e. mirrors in the way or fuel tanks ?

As long as their stanless steel I wouldn't care if they were from an older truck.

My 01 was ordered with bullet style cab lights, low back seats, old style gauges, etc , etc.
The guy I bought it from would have put a 5&4 in it but his wife wouldn't let him. Said she wouldn't be able to sell it if he died. So it got an 18 speed...
