Default Sylvania silverstar headlights ?

I put a set of these on the KW about a year ago and one already burned out...and I don't even drive at night. A twenty + dollar headlight should last forever

I like the light they put out, but if they don't last i'll switch back.

Any others have experiance with these lights ?

Yup that's how long they last. Rarely even close to a year.

That's a pretty good deal for Sylvania. Headlights as a constant maintenance item, and at 20 bucks a pop each. The screws that hold on the bezels will strip out from all the replacements.

I called Sylvania and their sending me another set at N/C. I didn't throw a fit, they offered a one time replacement. I just said, what up with a headlight that costs that much not lasting.

It's Funny how it doesn't give the hours they last on the box... I guess they overlooked that somehow.

The bulbs labeled "long life" put out a little less light than stock (unless your stock is already a long life - quite possible!) and cost a little more than the "stock" bulbs but last many times longer. They are available in the bigger truck stops but not WalMart, etc. They also throw light a bit more "yellow" than stock and are better in fog! Plenty bright enough in my humble opinion, your mileage my vary 8).

The silverstar ultra are supposed to last longer and put out even more light than the standard silverstar and yes mine made it about 10 months.

Ill see if the ultras go a year + they better there about 10 bucks more than the standards like 59.00 a set !!!!!
