    That's pretty homo.

Anyways, for 5w40 its about 35 seconds, 10w30 about 60 seconds, and regular 15w40 takes a full 80 seconds!

Is that a Canadian slang term? Does it mean like whacked?

Gay is used quite a bit up here, in Winnipeg at least. Homo is synonymous with gay.

    damn, cant find it!

It was a link from a thread, but I cannot find the thread.

All it showed was a chart when the engine got pressure to the top, my summary of what it showed basically paints the chart perfectly, there's no "extra info" in the chart IIRC.

I got it to work, you have to cut and paste the link, not click on it.

also notice, the 5w40 gives the most pressure after oil pressure has stablized.

Why? Because it's moving through the oil filter faster.

BTW, the 10w30 is thicker then the 5w40 at that temperature.

Thanks Allan. I was able to see it. Very interesting. What type of oil do you use? I have a 98 Detroit Diesel and only run Mobil Delvac. I tried Rotella one time and had some oil leaks, went back to Delvac and they stopped.

That's strange, rotella fixed my leaks! It seemed bypass oil filtration really helped with leaks too, for some strange reason. I had a small one at the rear main seal.

I might run either schaeffers 9000 5w40 or esso xd-3 0w40 this winter.
