    Default Transmission

When stopped my truck is hard to get in reverse and 1st gear.....is it my clutch that needs adjusting, or do I have a wear problem?

    Thanks

Your clutch brake is worn out. If you don't know what that is - that explains why it is worn out  .

Yes, should just need an adjustment.
In case you don't know. The clutch brake helps stop your gears rolling while you try to go into a gear from neutral at a dead stop. It is designed to
work only by pushing the clutch pedal all the way to the floor. The trick to it's
longevity is to make sure that you do not push the pedal all the way to the
floor if the truck is rolling AT ALL. Do this only at a dead stop. If the truck
is moving at all, you will shorten the clutch brakes life and it will need to be
    replaced.

If the shifter is in neutral, then the truck's motion (or lack thereof) has no effect on the clutch brake.

That said,if the truck is rolling and if the shifter is engaged in any gear, be sure to never push the clutch pedal all the way to the floor, or the clutch brake will be destroyed.
If you can't shift it smoothly, you shouldn't be driving it.
