Default Super Ten Top Two Auto

I once knew how to stop the auot shift of the top two gears of a super 10. Does anyone remember how to do it? I forgot you know I have CRS alot.

It's been a while but if I remember correctly, when you are in 9th and the super ten tries to auto shift into 10th push in the clutch and the tranny will surge for a few seconds and when it's done let the clutch back out and you will be in manual mode to shift between 9th and 10th. I hope that this is correct.

Thanks Scoe. I will try it when I get back in the truck. I'm in office for a few weeks, my fiancee is expecting any day.

This didn't work for me I was probably not timing it right.I will try again. I was just curious if you did get it to go into manual mode the way you describe. How do you get it back into auto mode?

The next time you shut off the engine it will default to automatic mode.

Got R done. When it gets ready to go to 10th gear push in clutch put in neutral let it surge until you can rev up motor then go back in 9th split to high side and you should be able to shift last two manualy. But like it was said once you turn off engine it will go back to auto.

    Collard Greens,Fredog & Scoe,

Thanks for posting. I always thought there was a way to do this. The dealer my truck came from wasn't real helpful. When I get my truck back in few days I will try for manual mode again. It would be nice to be able to lock out the auto at times.

Fredog. I don't want to disable it all the time. I would just like the option. I got into several miles of road construction at the right speed to where the truck was shifting back and forth. This is one case where it would be nice to lock out the auto shift.

the only thing he told me was unplug it from the transmission which disables it all the time, I like it that way, but if you dont, maybe someone else can help you
