    Default Opening muffler/stack

I have heard some pretty bizarre rumors about destroying the internal baffles via droping batterya down the stack(to heat and expolde) or pouring gasoline and lighting to gain the same effect. These "myths" are used to create that open exhaust/freight train sound. Anyone tried or heard of these or think they are safe or even possible. THX mc

That is more likely to split your exhaust down the seams than simply remove the baffles. If you want straight pipes then buy straight pipes. If you simply want it loud then unhook the exhaust between the turbo and muffler, you might want to buy some earplugs first.

Nothing is foolproof to a talented fool.

The Road goes ever on and on
Down from the door where it began.
Now far ahead the Road has gone,
And I must follow, if I can,
    Pursuing it with eager feet,
Until it joins some larger way
Where many paths and errands meet.
And whither then? I cannot say.

The issue is that I am a company driver so I am looking for a less obvious than removing or altering the exterior. BTW this was a question of a friends friend

I have an "open" walker muffler on my rig.

    It's quiet!

You could drop a grapefruit straight down that muffler.

    I am a company driver...

    I am looking...

BTW this was a question of a friends friend
    :? Oh really?

Bottom line, your asking about a way to destroy company equipment. If the company wanted straight pipes, they would have spec'd the truck that way. Wait until you have your own truck and then you can alter/destroy all you want.

Jam 23 potatoes and an acorn squash down the stack, then cover it with creosote and anhydrous lanolin. You'll have straight pipes overnight, and then you can experience tinnitus like a real freight wrangler. Whoop whoop.

That would never work, and why would you even suggest such a thing? Everybody knows that a ripe punkin works better.
