Who did the inframe and when.
Is there any warranty left from the inframe.
If you really want to know pay to throw it on a dyno but you might want to cut an oil sample.
The cost of the dyno and sample is cheap considering the consequences.
I think that for 30,000 you might be able to do a bit better than that one.
My tractor with approx 1/2 fuel and all my personal stuff including a 4'tall fridge w/freezer and microwave weighed in at
steer 11400
drives 7900
gross of 19300
I need to install a headache rack and possibly some side boxes probably adding about 1000#

Since your talking about Volvo Trucks here, I thought I would ask for opinions on my 1996 Volvo W1A model tractor. This tractor has a CAT C-12 motor, I bought it at a reasonable price...IMHO. The tractor does have a lot of miles on it... 1.2k and had top end work at about 800k. Tractor runs great with only minor fix-it problems. I used one gal. of oil in 8k miles and I think some leaked out. Oil pressure is reading around 50-55 psi.
What are the good and the bad with this truck being a 1996 year truck?
I will be paid for in six months, and my payments are very low... only $800 per month. The exterior of the truck is not too bad, needs minor replacement stuff like new headlight complete as it's all cloudy, cost is around $300, needs new passanger fender, as hood is three parts, paint job not bad for the year of the truck.
Would it be worth keeping it and putting money in it, or pay it off and trade it in for a Internation 9900ix, or maybe a Freightliner xl, or a Peterbuilt.
Thanks
I'm new to the whole owner operator thing but have always been into the older "paid for" vehicle thing. The key is to anticipate the part failure and replace it before it breaks. (Sometimes a imperfect science)
