    Default FFE coming to town

Was just wondering if anyone knows much about FFE (which I guess stands for Frozen Food Express). They're having a big recruiting event here in our town next weekend.

Well I don't know much about them but do have a bit of experience to share. I am a recent grad and was looking for a company to work for. FFE was one of the last places I put an app in with. BIG mistake in my opinion. They don't pay the gratest, .31 mile to start, but they pay for hotel, meals and transport to their orientation in Fort Worth/south park. The research I did on this company sounds like they are more of a family type company that cares about the drivers. Not sure about miles per week and home time. But the orientation is 3 days and if you have little experience they do a 12 day school then, if u have experience, there is a 6 week company training period with team driving. I went with another company only because FFE was a couple hours too late with the phone call, had to take the first offer. Hope this helps.

I think your research is extremely flawed. FFE is anything BUT family type. Unless you count being the "red-haired stepchild" of Lisa Motor Lines.

I have never met a happy driver from either company. I forget if there is a third company in there with Lisa.

My thought was that they are coming to town for a recruiting event and you should just let them have it and leave without a second glance.

I couldn't imagine anyone intentionally pulling a reefer trailer and purposely subjecting themselves to all the abuse that goes on @ packing houses, cold storeages, consignee docks and anywhere else I may have missed. the drivers don't make any more money, have more responsability than a regular run of the mill door slammer and get crapped on everywhere they go! What's the incentive...the damaged freight that you get to eat?
