    Default Knight

I've seen quite a few Knight trucks pulling doubles. Has Knight gone into LTL or something? They are sleeper trucks, just like the regular ones, but they are pulling the red Knight pups.

Just curious... I've never seen them pulling doubles, til just recently.

Now...Why the heck do ya live such a "Sheltered" life???

Knight got started with "doubles" many many moons ago!! It was doubles first for them (as I remember.....old fart that I am), then singles. They used to have a huge lot southwest of Phoenix that was stacked full of their old pups....just sitting there neglected, collecting tumbleweeds. I think they got back into them because of the economy and it it's being easier to do LTL with joints.

They still do. Mostly on the I-5 corridor. Doubles let you carry a couple thousand more pounds of freight in CA and AZ. There are a ton of em working intrastate CA.

since we're on the subject, when did CRST start hauling inedible tankers? I've seen at least 3 or 4 dozen over the last 2 to 3 months!?!

5 years that I know of. They haul animal blood that is used for making fire fighting foam. I think they are also hauling tallow....but not sure.

I assume you're referring to doubles, not dumps, eh?
