It is up to the driver to make sure their logs match fuel stops, etc., If you drive and don't log properly, you cannot blame the carrier.

You are absolutely right. It is the OP's fault if the logs don't match the fuel stops.

But I gotta know....is it the OP's fault too, if the driver does as instructed by dispatch and works the truck as a "Super Solo" or god forbid as a Team driven operation??

There are still plenty of 4 and 5 truck companies out there, that force drivers to run illegal. They don't stop the practice until the trucks get caught up in DOT inspections or fatality accidents. Usually, once they are caught, they change their name, get new DOT numbers and right back out there on the road, doing the same BS over and over. The Chicago area is ripe with those type of operations.

There are Trucking Companies that try to "force" you to drive illegally. It is the drivers final decision on whether they drive legally or not.Ultimately,if you choose to drive illegal and have a wreck, who pays the price. The driver does. The company may get into trouble, but the driver will pay by fines or jailtime.I had a dispatcher trying to get me to pick up a "hot"load.I told him to send the request over the Qualcomm and to notify Safety,if they said it was ok I would take it.Never heard another word about it.
