    Smile Swift Again

Well I finally did it. After looking around and hee hawing about it I finally got a job with Swift. The first 2 weeks were real bad with the mentor I had, got rid of him and got a real mentor who knew how to train. Been upgraded to solo, truck I have been assigned 400,000+ so hope to get a newer one later. From things I have seen, like all companies you have your good and bad. You got to start somewere.

Can you elaborate maybe a bit on how things are with mentor? I am heading for swift academy in 1 week and then to mentor 3-4 weeks from now(provided I pass tests :-). I have the attitude of just learning everything I need and not clashing with mentor. I hope that will make things easier but I don't want to have to tolerate some jackass either.

As far as mentors go the first one I had thought I was a meal ticket. The second one I had was straight up and was there for the student. It is going to be the luck of the draw. If you get a bad one go to driver services manager, if they don't do the right thing go above them. If you get a good let DS know. I tell it like I see it from both side, Good and Bad. I will say this and hope I don't offend anyone but this is a cut throat bussiness and better have a thick layer of skin.
