    Default Northeast regional or dedicated

I live in upstate NY by Syracuse and was wondering what is out there for dedicated accounts and regional. I'm just looking for ideas. I am hoping a few people will chime in with their company and what they are doing right now. How often do you get by the house...what account...what company..pay..etc

    Thanks for any input!

I live in Roch. and talked with a JB driver that was doing WalMart loads out of Johnstown, that was about a year ago but I still see a JB truck when I go by his place. I also see another Co truck evey weekend but will have to get the name for you later. You might want to check with Gypsum Exp. they have a yard there in Baldwinsville I think Arnold has one too

Most of the major carriers have NE Regional positions. Schneider does as does Swift, Heartland etc..I'd be very careful about JB IMHO. Lots of small companies keep their drivers close but don't advertise "Northeast Regional". I worked for a small carrier with 20 trucks or so a couple of summers ago running flatbed out of Northern Vermont. I was sent to New Jersey once and NY a couple of times. The rest was ME,NH,VT,MA and CT. Never went into a city so no traffic and I was out Monday morning and back Fri afternoon with weekends off and home during the week every once in awhile. The pay was low but the people were good and no tarps. It was a good gig and I would still be there if I hadn't moved. They said if I ever came back home to call and they would have a job for me. Make sure to find the smaller carriers and talk to them. You might get lucky.

    You mean MAINES

They run teams out of Baldwinsville. Do mainly convenience stores.

Also try National Freight. They had a dedicated out of a plastic company there at one time.
