    Default Western Express Northeast

The ad is in the paper here (albany, ny) Western Express over the road. I started out with Schneider and have been on a local gig for the last 5 years, now thinking of otr again. What can I expect? How is their ppm?

I once heard some guys talking over 19 and guy said he was making .31 a mile and had been there for going on 6 months... PLENTY OF NORTHEAST!! regardless where you live but he said he was averaging around 2600 to 3000 a week.... Most of the Western Volvo's are nice and they do run wit the big dogs so i don't think there cut back to far..

I've always heard Western has a good amount of NE freight, but I've been out of the loop for a while, so don't take my comment as gospel

If you're going to be running the North East you can expect no parking at night and heavy traffic during the day.

    Thumbs down

I'd look elsewhere! This company is the worst of the worst. That isn't heresay...unfortunately, I work for them because I had a gap in driving. If you like freezing your ass off in Maine hauling almost 47k lbs of water on a regular basis, this company is the one for you! Hahahaha...NOT! .29/mile is the top pay! I get like 1900 miles per week. I am never home. Knight just called me. So...bon voyage northeastern express!

I ran the Northeast for years. I can tell you that 3,000/week with the traffic and loading/unloading will never happen. Also, are you willing to give up $80,000 for $40,000 so you can go otr? I know that its a lot of work but are you willing to take a massive paycut to do it?
