Question I'm Dusting off My Account and My CDL - Anyone from Marten Transport?

Ok, so this has been a frustration since my old account (tndieselgrl) wouldn't let me log in or resend my password. Some of you may remember me, it's been forever and a day.

Anyway, life has a way of determining what's going to happen at times, and it looks like Lady Fate is about to throw my rear end back out on the highway yet again.

Looking to see if there are any Marten drivers that might be willing to talk about how life is at the company. They offered me what sounds like a pretty nice regional run to keep me home weekly (a must since I've got a little one at home now), and I'm curious if it's all it's cracked up to be. Bonus points if you run, or know someone who runs the Texas (South Central) regional right now.

In the meantime, I'm going to see what kind of old threads ye ol' search function drags up...

Hey Ridge Runner....nope, still can't access the old one. I don't know what's up, I'm pretty sure it's hooked to my current email address, but I'm not able to log in using my old password OR getting the settings emailed to me.

Send me your new e-mail addy and I'll place it in your old account then e-mail your password to you. That should work. But first try your old account again.

Well this thread is now a moot point. Was turned down because I've been off the road too long working in the Safety Department and misrepresentation of my driving time by one of the companies I worked for. Nifty. Anyone following this that cares to spam me with good regional opportunities for someone in Oklahoma, please do!

Just out of curiousity. Do you have your old pay statements from when you were driving? The time period when you were misrepresented by the former employer? If you do, you might be able to use them to prove that they are lying. There are some companies that NEED to have that done to them.

I do, I have settlement statements to prove the time I was under my lease, as well as log books. The catch is when I went in-house I was told my OTR "clock" would be kept running because we were active drivers and in trucks on a daily basis, and it's not how they represented my time in the office in the end. My former VP is a good guy and he's looking into it, but Marten has since decided they're no longer going to talk to me for at least six months AFTER I get on with another carrier regardless of what kind of documentation I put forth. A bit irritating, but the 180 degree flip on the recruiter's attitude is what struck me a little more interesting...she was completely unwilling to discuss what had happened with me regardless of the final outcome.

Haha...thanks Orangetxguy I've been going back through the listing of companies on CAD and checking them out one by one and cross referencing what I see with driver opinions to see if anything's changed in the time I've been out of the job market.

What the hell does that have to do with anything pertinent? I don't even know what you're talking about anyway.

Well.....You said you wanted to be home regularly because of the kid. Groendyke and Sentinel would both afford you that chance...Sentinel would afford you home every day...plus decent pay and benefits. The others...both are OTR operations...and you understand how those work.

Yup. I figured to call Groendyke on Monday...tanker is about the one thing I haven't driven at all and was kinda curious...was looking at them for a little bit the other day.
