CPC Logistics. Dragging Walgreens frieght around on a nightly 400 mile relay. Drop/Fuel/Hook then let the peddle driver deliver it during the day. Do it all again the next night.

I work for a medium sized excavating / dump trucking / heavy haul company in WI.

It's a union shop - Teamsters Union, Operating Engineers Union, or Laborers Union, depending on the particular employee's job classification.

    I'm in the Teamsters.

I got the best of two worlds, one i get to drive parttime for a fed-ex ground contractor, and work for a major airline...Big planes and big trucks.

Me, Myself, and I, have my own trucking company, haul from the west to east, then back out west. home about every 10-12 days for a day or 2. I chose this way because I don't like qualcomms, lying, cheating fleet managers, and I can choose what I do. I make good money, my name is on the side of my truck, no leases, got my own authority, my own trailer. Some of you might think, yeah, I have my own maintenance bill, but it's mine..

I pulled pneumatics for a while, mostly just concrete and flyash, but i did work for a company hauling ground rubber in a big 4 barrell tank once owned by Con-Agra foods, sorry if my terminology regarding the tank is wrong, that's just how i referred to it. It took almost 2 hours to unload, our customer told us nothing over 9 PSI though, so that could have had something to do with it. What all do u haul in your tank, and how long is the average unload? Is it more food based products, or all types of commodities?

Lordy lordy! Good to hear that you decided to listen to CFM and are finally going to 'walk away' from coolie carrier OTR truck driving! It has taken some time, but you are coming around Jed. CFM/LBJ/Coolio/Mike Hunt would be proud of you!

    The pirate sings tonight..............

(BTW Jed....PM me your cell phone#, I'm flying into Columbus next week and will be hoboing around between Parkersburg and Indy for a couple of weeks. I can make good on that beer and maybe talk some sense into you)

I just talked with a Schneider Wal-Mart driver out of Henderson that did the Dollar General/South Boston account for 5 years before Werner took it over. He didnt want to work for Werner so left and came here.
