    Default Millis Transfer

Can anyone tell me anything about Millis? I realise that they are primarilly a beer hauler out of Wisconsin, but I see their trucks regularly in the Central Ohio area where I live. I am not a CDL holder at this time and I know they have a training center in Trenton, OH, close to Cincinnati. My current position with the local city government is probably going to be eliminated within the next 2-3 months, if it even last that long. If any one has any info on Millis, I would greatly appreciate it.

    Thanks

They are the main carrier to haul beer out of Miller in Trenton, OH and also Eden, NC.

Seems like I saw a lot of Millis trailers down at Miller in Albany, GA as well.

With all those trailers it might be just a drop and hook at those locations.

Other than that I know noooooooooothing.

    Default Hiring freeze?

I applied with them before I got my present gig, but was told that they were in a hiring freeze. Lord, I hope that's been lifted! This derned reefer is giving under-eye bags the size of samsonite luggage!!!

Jewels, where at in Ohio are you? I've had some correspondence with Millis and they are tellng me that they are still training newbies in Trenton, OH and didn't mention a word about any hiring freeze. Who you run for now?

    Default Close to Dayton

    WC,
I'm close to Dayton, but would have been happy to show up in Trenton for orientation if it hadn't been for the hiring freeze.
That was back at the first of the year, though, and may well have been lifted since then.
Good luck with getting on with them---and with your training!
