    Default Going with CR England

Despite all I've read on here and the many google searches I am going forward with England. I am not at all interested in their lease purchase option at all. I will be team driving with a friend and I'm gonna give it a year and see where I am at that point, perhaps move on to a dedicated run with them. I'm a pretty open minded person and despite the negative reviews they have from drivers, I just can't know for sure until I see it first hand. They have lots of drivers and perhaps its only a small percentage of them that have been burned by them. We'll see what happens.

    Have fun.......

FYI, it's not a small percentage that has been burnt by them. You say your not interested in their lease deal but your mind will change when they start starving you out of the truck after you turn their lease down. They will starve you out while showing you how great the lease would be if you simply switch over.

Good luck, your gonna need it

Some people need to get hit by the train before they are willing to listen to the people telling them a train is going to hit them. Best of luck.

Ya, I have to agree after lurking in these forums for the last 2 years and never read a positive end to a CRE story. I like the train analogy...my Dad always use to say it's like smacking your thumb with a hammer because it feels so good when you stop. Good Luck and I hope you prove us all wrong.

It took me getting hit by the JBHunt train to believe the stories. lol

Most of the bad stories that I hear about England have to do with the lease purchase side of the equation. I dont think that's peculiar to them, however, as I hear it for just about every company that does that stuff.

I'll be interested in hearing how the company gig with them works out.

    Drive safely.

i see in the july 2009 isue of landline mag ooida is still in court with cre after all the years trying to recover escrow funds for the lease purchase victims.
it says england says 18% to much for them to pay on the stolen escrow but the judge will use that rate as that is what they intended to charge their drivers before they were forced to redo their leases.
in a previous session a utah judge called cre's request for arbitration "unconscionable" as they did not offer their lease operators arbitration before they turned 1200 of them over to a collection agency.
maybe before you associate with some one you should check them out on the net.
these lease operators were drivers like you with 1 or 2 years experience who wanted to be rich owner operators.
do you really want to represent these people all over the country?

i just spent the night at the bosselsman(not sure of spelling) outside of des moines, and c.r.'s trucks where coming and going all night, at least while i was awake. they had some nice new international prostar's. do you think they stayed in buisness this long just by ripping off drivers for all these years.

Yes, by hauling cheap freight and having drivers indebted to them forever. They also have some Freightshaker Classics with some chicken lights also.

Ahh-YEAH! How else! Oh yeah they train newbs how to drive from in the SLEEPER! I've had several close calls with them ( I assume trainees) running late at night and them not staying in there lane when passing or being passed. LEASE DRIVE TRAIN in that order.

I finished orientation, didn't sign a lease, waiting for co-driver to finish his training then hoping to get on Walmart Dedicated. England is one of the few companies still growing and making a profit these days.
