    Default Frito-Lay local driver info

I have a phone interview this afternoon. Just wondered if anyone had any current info. The board search was minimal info. He termed it as a "local driver" position. Cover stores in Tulsa and Muskogee then to Ft. Smith for more chips and then back to tulsa. I have seen these guys operate at the WalMarts often so I know what the store part of the job is. Just wondering about benefits, health insurer, avg. pay. Just talked to him yesterday. Sent app. on line a couple months ago, really hadn't had a chance to ask a frito driver. Did catch one tonight but he was not really, "Mr. Personality." Thanks

Hey okie I have talked to a couple of those guys hauling chips and they seem pretty happy. Last I heard they were around .50 c.p.m. and real good benefits for the family. I also know they don't sleep in the truck because they go to hotel. Hope that helps and keep us up to date on your interview.

Is this for tractor-trailer driver or an inside sales rep position?

Naw thats the line haul O.T.R. They come up U.S. 29 a lot coming and going to/from Lynchburg... Majority of the time they have Drop Deck Vans something Similar to the Moving Van Trailers..

I think it might be a route rep too.. i was at a dock one day at a wal mart talking to a guy who was waiting for me to move was telling me he had to work his way up from route rep to Bulk truck driver... but he said he made 25 dollars an hour...

Well I chickened out. Talking to them on the phone sounded like it was my job for the taking. Had just set thru some more doom and gloom econmy stuff from news. Got to thinking, Not improving economy + new low man on the totem pole and decided against jumping ship.
