    Default Wayne Transports

Anybody know anything about this company. Not much information on their website. Looking at my options. I know the economy isn't the greatest, but I'm struggling financially because of the hours at the company I'm at. I have my X endorsement , doubles /triples, and passenger. Been Along time since I've pulled a tanker (outside of ten years), been five years since I've needed my HM, but recently added it and My doubles. Never pulled them but. I'm considering looking at P & D Companies. I have a meeting with the terminal manager for Dayton Freight tomorrow afternoon. They are suppposedly hiring for linehaul, and P&D. Have Considered for a long time at going into tank yanking. I see the Wayne Tranports trucks alll over our area (MSP).
Does anyone have any other suggestions of places I could check with. For personal reasons I would like to avoid union companies if I can. I know Dayton Freight is non union, and I believe their pay is pretty decent. I Will find out for sure tomorrow.

Seems that not many companies here in the Cities are not hiring these days. If I was you, I'd see how Dayton pans out....they have good equipment, I don't think they run doubles at all....maybe Pikers on the IN/OH but that is probably about it. Not sure where in MSP you live, but Este's is a good company. I almost hired on with them when my current job was becoming crappier, but right when I was going to sign on with Estes, I got a promotion and my new gig has been pretty sweet.

I have seen Wayne trucks around the upper midwest a lot. They don't seem to handle just one "niche" in the market, but rather, have spread themselves out, to cover the market! As far as tank's go, I've seen them pulling fuel tanks in Iowa and Nebraska, chemical in Illinois, Indiana, Ohio, PA, and Missouri, also I have seen them with food grade tanks and non-haz pneumatics as well.
