Default If freight's coming back I want my penny back too.

Swift seems to be able to keep me rolling now. I'm getting pre-plans stacked on me a day before I deliver and even had a night dispatcher ask me if I had a load. When I told him I delivered in the morning he asked me where I wanted to go when I was empty, then gave me 1,200 mile run. Never had that happen before.

Now, about that penny they took away...

it's that time of the year where if you can run, they'll let you run. certain planners and dispatchers that hooked me the EFF up for runs are no longer working for swift. the people out of lathrop always hooked me up after i ran a favor for them. so did the people in fontana, denver, edwardsville, and inver grove heights.

you won't be getting that penny back.

I'm still going to give Phoenix a call before I decide to let the "three-years" run its course.
The amount of Swift movement I've seen at the Nutro plant down the street has been quite heavy in the last, couple of weeks.
With school going nowhere fast, I'm being drawn back out like a kite.

Although, Fontana still seems to be frozen as far as their re-hire and new-driver hiring is going.

Good luck, bentstrider. I still see a lot of drivers sitting around Fontana whenever I'm there. I hate coming into a terminal and seeing so many drivers sitting around waiting for a load. I haven't seen it as bad at the other terminals, except maybe Mira Loma. Last time I was in SLC over a weekend it was almost deserted! It was a good week.

Well, if I have to relocate for awhile as some sort of condition, then it's all good.
It would be nice to get out of California and all its drama once more.

bent, you're better off focusing your energy on other companies. swift isn't hiring any experienced drivers.

Is that something relatively new? I came in as an experienced driver with 7 others in March. At that time only Swift, Werner and Prime offered me orientation.

Yeah, just spoke with them today and even asked if relocating would change anything, nope.

But still, Phoenix, SLC, and anywhere excluding California would be ideal to transfer to if this school thing gets off the ground.

In the meantime, the three years will be up by 10/10, so I'm feeling less bogged down by this as I did in the beginning.
