Default Pets w/ 1.5 years other than Swift, Werner

    Hey Folks,
Was looking for a local gig in Los Angeles - haven't had any luck. Back to otr....

I'm having a rough time finding an otr company that allows small dogs. The only ones I could find are Swift, Werner, US xpress, and Celadon.

US xpress and Celadon aren't hiring out west.
Swift and Werner were nightmares I do not want to go back to.

Hills bro, I've heard good things about but they need 2 years.

Anyone know of any "decent" company that allows pets for a driver with 1.5 years driving in SoCal?

    (Have all the endorsements)

    Thanks, hitting the wall here,
    Zen Road Warrior

Don't take this the wrong way because I am a pet lover too.....Don't limit your options because of your pet. Besides pets do not belong on the road. They need to be homw where they can run a get excercise, otherwise they will end up like us.....fat and unhealthy. I'm sure I will get alot of flack for this but it's just my personal opinion.

Dang it, dobry4u, dang it. That was one smokin' replicant! She was, for boys of a certain age, as American as, well, you know . . .

Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't the largest container port in North America near L.A.? There has to be an empty truck in need of a driver there someplace.

I would call all the companies that hire in your area and ask if they allow pets. Many of their websites will indicate yes or no.

I understand the need for having your best friend on board because we travel with our Shih Tzu and would miss her greatly if we had to leave her behind. Contrary to what people believe she is not being abused by being on the truck. She gets more attention, exercise and love than she would ever get if we had local jobs. Some idiots would prefer that she sit in a locked up house or in a crate the size of a large box without any attention for 10-14 hours a day awaiting our return. Better yet we could lock her out of the house or chain her up to a pole in the back yard and the only time she ever sees us is when we dump some food in her dish twice a day with only a pat on the head. That is what most people do with their dogs and we won't do that to her. She LOVES being on the road and actually starts getting antsy if we are home to long. She loves meeting all the different people and dogs. She is well within her weight standards and has plenty of time to run. If someone doesn't want a dog on the truck so be it, but I won't give mine up.
If you think you can or you think you can't, either way you are right!

Doesn't matter where you have been, it's where you are going in life that counts!
