After all the bad things you have already heard and you are still going to orientation? Is it ADD or just plain stupidity?

Perhaps there is something on his record or a lack of experience that CRE is the only place that will hire him?

Maybe so....But if that was my only choice I would pursue a different profession.

In this economy any job is better than no job, so good luck to you. Just get your 1st year in and by all means do not get involved in a lease purchase. After 1 year of experience you should be able to change companies and get on with a better paying company, just keep your driving record clean. Also hopefully by next year the economy will have picked up a bit and some of the better carriers will be hiring again.

CRE has a bad reputation for a reason, but if you keep your nose clean and do your job and put up with a fair amount of BS, then you can write your own ticket after a year or so.

Matt, tell us about how you came to the decision to work for CRE. Were you laid off in another profession? Why CRE? The slick promotional ads? Pictures of money? Or are the recruiters just that good at selling their company?

I agree with mike3fan. The economy has gone to pot. There are trucking companies that are laying off, and some are going under. There are good trucking companies there are bad ones. Right now, if I was looking, I would just go around and put my name in the hat. You might find something that might not be, "bread and butter" but it would be better than nothing. Myself, I know nothing about England, other than just hearing bad things about the company. If you have been hired on at England, be glad. That is income. Might not be as much as others, but it's better than a kick in the butt. Just do your best at England, and stay on for a good while. Hopefully, you can earn a decent living, and that will give you more driving experience. Hopefully, the economy will rise again, and you can find something that will fit you better. Best of luck!

Hit the search button up top and type in CR England then press enter and read up!

Arguing on the C.B. is kinda like running in the Special Olympics, 'cause even if you win your still retarted.
