    Default Mesilla Valley Transportation

    Howdy all.

I was in Greeneville, TN and saw the little Mesilla Valley drop yard there off of US 11 and saw their sign hanging on the fence "hiring dedicated drivers in your area." Since then I have paid attention and have seen several of their trucks in this area. All the dropped trailers in this particular lot were step deck van trailers.

There isn't much on any message board about Mesilla Valley good or bad so I'm wondering what the deal is on these dedicated opportunities? Anyone on here drive for them (even over the road) and can tell me a little about them? I'm not looking to change companies for another OTR gig, but a dedicated run would be alright. Even if I was out all week, but it was planned before I left it would be o.k. with me.

Thanks in advance for your help. I don't even know how big a company they are, I've just seen their trucks around.

    Thanks again.

Extreme coolie carrier. 25 cents per mile sounds great.

Like I already said, the sign said they had dedicated accounts in my area, I just want to know if it is true or not. Their website says nothing about dedicated accounts in this area, so I don't know anything about it. I'm not looking at going OTR for .25 a mile, so I don't know why you are so disturbed...

Here's a better idea, stop being so disturbed by what I am doing and let me find some info from someone who knows about them, o.k?

I missed all the smuggling information news. I also missed where an experienced driver starts at 25 cents per mile, instead of what his verified experience would pay.

All that aside...Call the Nashville office and ask them PA.

You also missed that they do not have a Nashville office. Way to be on the ball Stan.

Thanks OTG, finally some useful information I can use. I actually missed the Nashville location listing on their website, too, I guess I wasn't looking hard enough.

Thanks again. I sent the recruiters an email. If I don't hear anything from them in a couple days, I'll call the Nashville office and ask.

It's kind of hard to notice that locations part of the front page. Good call.

They are in NM, and their Nashville terminal is about 15 minutes from my house.

Ohh. They have a terminal in Tenn? Ok. Duh. Never thought about it. I see their trucks all the time, and I swore that I remembered that they were from Las Cruces. OK.. Now it makes sense.

They also have a very small drop lot in Greenville, TN. Looks like they had a small construction-type trailer set up in the front of it with their logo painted on the side.

Recruiting sent me an email "call us at (blank) number" kind of deal. I think I'll call and get the info on it. Beats what I'm doing now- sitting in a Flying J waiting to pick up my load tomorrow (Wed) when I got unoaded this morning. Plus the load is going to our yard in Kingsport, TN and I'm supposed to take my weekend in Southern Illinois! They had better not screw this up.

I'll let you know how the conversation goes with them. I didn't know you could get 15 free minutes on the comp. if you just have in your pocession a Flyin J card. Only works once a week. I'm not in J's much more often than that...
