    Default M&M Restaurant Supply

    Does anyone know anything about M&M Restaurant Supply. I know they are a division of Keystone Foods. All i know is the work is all local and they pay by the hour. They mostly deliver to McDonald's in the PA, NJ and DE area.

    Since i change my way of thinking and I'm willing to work nights and weekends i am applying to allot of places.

    Also I'm laid off right now so i got allot of time on my hands to go and talk to new company's and see what they have to say. I went to M&M today to get a app. but no one was there at the time that i could talk to.

    It's all hand unload(basic foodservice job) but if they are anything like the one around here, you basically just throw the product onto a roller to the store employees. McD, Burgar King, Wendys delivers are normally late evening to early morning delivers(the slow times) so basically you are going to work nights. Hope you like backing in 48' trailers in TIGHT spots and dodge cars in the parking lot.

    I am in a similiar situation as you are. Went to a group interview thing at Greyhound the other day and talked to them for a little bit. I always wondered why Greyhound drivers looked like they were on welfare, and now I know. They called me back today and offered to send me to their training center in Alanta for thirteen days to learn how to drive and then like five weeks of real world training. What really disturbed me was that the hiring lady told me that the whole time in training the driver only receives $30.00 per day. At first I thought this was a joke, but nobody was laughing. They are union but have no pension and crappy health insurance. They made it seem as though they were looking for slaves rather than drivers. I have no idea about the hours of service for motor coach operators, but I was instructed that as a new extra board operator you will only get nine hours off between shifts unless you run out of hours and need a restart. Is that even legal? Oh yeah, also they can/will send you to any terminal that needs help and keep you there for up to thirty days. Suppose that means you can not go home. Where do I sign up, huh?

    Arguing on the C.B. is kinda like running in the Special Olympics, 'cause even if you win your still retarted.

    Now...a little secret to getting hired by a "major". You find out which carrier is doing their overflow work...hire on there...whatever the pay is...then introduce yourself to the "major"'s truck boss. Do a good job...stay in the "face" without being intrucive, then when they have an opening, you have the job.

    You pay your dues at a "major" by working at their overflow carrier.

    Mackman;

    I don't see why you would need a Class A license to deliver M&M's to restaurants!!

    Mackman,
    If you want to deliver M&Ms, why didn't you say so. I can give you directions to MASTER FOODS in Elizabethtown,PA and you can scoop out what carriers haul out of there.
