Yes I'm still in the deep-freeze, it's supposed to get to 35 below here tonight. They said that maybe Friday I will get moving.

Well I made it out of Fargo finally. The machine I was supposed to be taking to Alberta got pushed back to Monday because of the extreme cold, guess they don't figure that they can get it started till the warmer weather arrives this weekend. Anyhow my DM called me about 10:00 this morning and asked if I wanted to head down to St Charles, MN and take a machine to Iberia, MO or wait out the weekend and go to Canada. I asked if I would be able to swing by the house when I got done in MO and pick up all the rest of my stuff (mainly the coffee maker and inverter) and he said that most likely I will go home for a couple of days so here I sit in Rochester, MN waiting to run over to St Charles and load in the morning. I'm not sure exactly what it is but it's 13' wide, 11'9" high and weighs 74,000#. Hopefully they are really close on the sizes because the customer in MO wants it asap and is willing to take it whenever I can get there even if it's Sunday morning. If it's just a little wider than what they say I won't be able to travel over the weekend so it will be a Monday delivery.

I was happy to get headed in a southerly direction from Fargo but the local news here in Rochester says it's supposed to be -30 here tonight (without figuring the windchill). Oh well, can't win em all.

Hey fetterski, where are you headed in Missouri? I'm unloading this afternoon about 6 miles east of Iberia at a cattle farm then I'm headed to Lebanon. My wife and kids are driving over from Kansas and we'll be staying at the Hampton Inn in Lebanon till Monday morning then they are heading back home. She didn't renew her teaching contract yesterday and will be done when the semester is over. She's been talking to Wylie about being a full time pilot/steering car for me. We are giving serious consideration to it because in about 45 days I will have to have a full time escort for steering. She has her CDL and therefore she can legally steer in all 49 states and Canada plus she has been a CDL holder in Kansas long enough that she can also get super-load certified just by paying the fee and filling out the application.

On another note, I talked to one of my former coworkers at Lonestar last night, seems as though they are keeping him moving just enough to avoid layover pay but he hasn't broken 2500 miles since the first of the year and has only got paid for 1 day layover. I guess I jumped ship at the right time. I was worried what LST would put on my DAC but I got a copy of it yesterday and the said that I would require review before re-hire and that was it. Nothing bad or negative.

Well it's legal twilight in 30 minutes so I need to get out and check all my chains, lights and tires so I can hit the road running.

Flyer, I don't know for sure if it's KC but i'm going to that area. That would work out good if the wife could work out there with you. Well i'm sitting here in Lamar PA watching it snow, thinking I should have drove farther today.
