    Default Southern Refrigerated Bad Choice

I just spent 2 months of He-- with SRT. First they lied about the orientation I expected $300 and got nothing. Then I was told I would get .31 CPM and they gave me .30 CPM.

Worst company I ever worked for

Please name the Better one's you've worked for-- just for clarification/comparison purpose?

I looked/called them couple times previously-- they were offering me .38cpm one time- then several months later-after their "pay raise"- they were offering .40 cpm. So, either they were trying to get you on the cheap anyway- or you have "limited" experience? Not meaning to offend you in any way with that "limited" remark-- 1 or 2 years experience?

They are "owned" by Covenant- or at least partially owned by them- so that right there tells you a lot.

Then only issues that kept me from signing on with them were: (a) Wife would kill me if I parked a Purple truck in our yard/ Neighbors would plant a burning cross in my front yard and dance around it all night.

    b) they would only allow up to a 1000 watt inverter/ didn't have a sense of humor when I jokingly asked if I could peal the 1750 watt label off one of mine/ repaint it- and get it slipped by? They said no, they could tell the difference by size? which is stupid because my 1750 watt is physically smaller than the older(less safe) 1000 watt.

    c) they are Refridgerated Carrier- and I was concerned about the "quality" of their customer base and driver friendly freight.

But I can relate where you're coming from-- KLLM's web site reads--
BASE PAY and mine was suppose to be at .43 cpm. When I got to orientation- I found out that .01 cent of that was IDLE/Fuel conditional upon maintaining 30% idle time, and another .01 was the safety bonus- paid yearly. So that really put me at .41 actual instead. Plus, the recruiters neglected to mention- the $300.00 worth of locks (kingpin, enforcer, air valve) you are required to purchase. I already own all of these- but they wouldn't take my word for it since I didn't know I needed to bring them with me. Seems companies are redefining the term BASE PAY these days.
