K&B Transport

Can anyone comment on K&B Transport out of Souix City, IA. ?

All I can say about K & B is, their equipment always looks in first class shape. I seldom see bent up equipment of theirs. The drivers that i do talk to with them, always seem happy and content. the last O/O I spoke with..two weeks ago, had just bought his 5th truck to run with them, and was happy.

Mostly Freightliner Classics fr power units.

Is that the company that pays you for "X" amount of miles wheather you run them or not? I wondered how that worked. Let us know if you find out.

Fine company to work for if you like cooking the books on a regular basis. They have a long history and it is not pretty. The owners have spent time in jail for not only encouraging drivers to lie on their logs but showing them how to do it. This happened back when K&B was under a different name and ran cattle trucks along with reefers. From what I have had more than a few of their drivers tell me nothing has really changed except they are slightly more subtle about things than they used to be.
